the most revealing thing about the women's liberation movement
is that they never fought the boxes.
miss or mrs.
man remains mr.
mr. hunt.
thats what i will always be-
solid as a rock.

are known to all
to be the ones whose identities change.
liberation would be for all to be ms.

no, thats wrong, too.
because true liberation would be to have a salutation,
a greeting, with no reference to gender,
to sex.
no reference to age,
to anything specific.
instead of saying "hello, mr. hunt"
you would just look me in the eyes
and say "hello".

our minds are designed to compartmentalize, to classify.
to discriminate.
its what keeps you alive.

so would true liberation be fighting against design?

and so arrives the most favored fallacy of all time: DEFINITION OF TERMS.
we give names to things that have no existence beyond our minds.
"mind" is one of those terms, as well, so what do we have left?

certainly not our sanity.

so we give in.
so, for now, the boxes remain.
